"I believe firmly in the benefits of regular exercise. Mine begins in the morning as soon as I arise when I do a series of exercises designed to stretch the muscles and to aid circulation. Vigorous exercise out of doors each day is an indispensable aid to beauty. Tennis, golf, riding and walking are the best of beauty treatments because they are fun, too, but tennis is my favorite."


  1. Though you do occasionally hear stars of yore mention "calisthenics" or gymnastics, I always find it fabulously refreshing that when discussing their exercise routines, they talk about actual sports not just pilates, spin class, hot yoga or some other gym based activity. I'm not dissing those, don't get me wrong, I just think there's a great deal to be said for outdoor and/or more diverse sports/exercises, too.

    1. Yoga and Pilates really do a lot for me, yet I do agree that exercises outdoors always beat the gym activities.
