Hi folks! I wanted to do another round of things I'm loving lately and speaking about that, I've changed the post's title to just Musings instead of Things I'm Loving Lately. I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I do.

Today was such a typical chilly day where you snuggle up on the couch underneath a blanket, candles and incense lit, fuzzy socks on your feet, hair in a messy updo, a cup of tea and just browse the Internet for lovely things and musings. I wanted to share with you some of mine - most of them will be about hair!

(note: not the same clips)
Leaves of Loveliness hair pins
A while ago I decided to let my hair grow long again, just for a change. I am barely wearing my hair in thirties fashion lately and for most of my life I've had hair reaching up to my tailbone and quite a lot of hair, too. When I grew more into vintage fashion I decided to chop it all off to ease the recreating of the vintage hairdo's, all with the thought in the back of my head that if I came to regret it, it would grow back eventually. Now is the perfect time in my life to do so.

To have a bit of fun with my hair while letting it grow I was looking for pretty hair accessories. Not childish hairclips or whatever, but subtle prettiness ... like these Grecian clips called The Leaves of Loveliness (which you can see on the right side). They are just what I was looking for.

The serie 'Vikings'
Yep, I know, I've been talking about this already in a former post, but I am so soaked up in it. It's addictive. Usually I have a hard time watching something in which they have distorted the historical facts, but I decided to put that aside and enjoy the serie anyway, because of the gorgeous men with their long hair, amazing cinematography and empowering shieldmaidens. There's hair envy galore. And ... ofcourse I like the story, too. A very enjoyable serie altogether.

Chevron Bun
I am all for buns these days. They are elegant, glamorous and simple to achieve. I just love the subtle chevron pattern pictured on the photo, which you achieve with bobby pins that you slide into the hair, and another through the end of the first, and repeat 3 times more.

Ponytail cuff
More hair accessory love! I love the idea of this pony tail cuff, which transforms a otherwise simple pony tail into something more special and glamorous.

Warm Zucchini Salad
Autumn is coming and that means I kinda have to say goodbye to the cold salads that are otherwise so refreshing in summer, but don't sound all too appealing in the autumn chill. But who says salads are supposed to be consumed cold?  I love zucchini and this vegan & gluten-free warm salad makes my mouth water. Find the recipe here.

Dark autumn colored nails
With autumn almost arriving, I am straying from the bright reds that I wore during spring and summer and I, happily, start to wear dark autumn colors, like plum, purple and berry shades. I always find that it matches my white skin perfectly.

  1. the ponytail cuff and dark fall nail colors really caught my eye. With outdoor shows in the windy midwest, i've been finding myself sporting a ponytail more often than not. Just the other day my cousin was wearing very dark red nails and i can't wait for cooler days to break out the dark autumn colors!

    1. I really think this cuff gives a dull pony tail something special. I hardly wear pony tails, but find them really appealing when I am buzy and not in the mood to do more extravagant hairdo's, yet this cuff spices up the pony tail.

  3. OK.. you've got me, Lindsay...
I have to go out and buy that color of nail-polish.. not that I truly "need" it, but it's the best way to say "autumn" with nothing buy style. :)

    Huge hug
