Hollywood Household Hints: Anne Shirley | Weekly Feature

Anne Shirley

Anne Shirley is experimenting with decorative pie crusts - cut out in designs. She admits she had bad luck with the stars she cut out to crown the mincemeat, claims success with a tricky cut out center for apple pies. She says she cuts the pattern with a cookie cutter. Why not?

  1. So cute! I use small cookie cutters for this vary same purpose, too, or larger ones for a decorative shape atop a tart/tarlet instead of the stand looking top crust. (I especially love making mini pumpkin pies and tartlets and topping them with a pumpkin cutout shape for Thanksgiving and other autumn events.)

    1. I have never tried it this way, but I am very eager to! I might try it this weekend!
