Hollywood starlet beauty hints bundled
Fay Wray
Luli Deste
Luli Deste, Viennese beauty, has probably the most unusual set of beauty hints in the world. She uses nothing but natural food products to beautify her skin because they contain pure natural oils and beneficial complexion vitamins. Peanut oil, or peanut butter as a facial mask, are used to soften her skin, orange juice for whitening (as we use lemon juice) and cream off the top of the milk bottle as a night cream.

Joan Fontaine
Joan Fontaine says you can persuade your nail polish to stay by you, unchipped, if you apply it in the correct consistency. If polish is too thick it will "ribbon" as you attempt to apply it, will go unevenly and so chip easily. If it is too thin, it will run to the sides of the nail. Keep polish corked tightly, in an even temperature, to keep it the correct consistency.
Wendie Barrie and Max Factor
With daytime makeup, Wendy Barrie tips just the outer lashes - from the center of the lid out - with mascara. Makes her long eyes seem even longer.
Dorothy Lamour
Have you ever struggled with your hair on dry or "electrical" days when every single lock insisted on standing straight out? Dorothy Lamour says you can bring it under control with a touch of brilliantine (choose one with an oil base). We might add another hint: Snitch a bit of brother's hair oil - provided he isn't looking.
Such beautiful ladies! I just love these beauty hints, Lindsay, they have much become a trademark of your blog. I enjoyed how you put the pictures in as well.

I am really glad you like them! I do, too, obviously otherwise I wouldn't share them ha ha.
DeleteI must say, under the heading of "you learn something new everyday", the fact that multiple old Hollywood startlets used peanut oil as part of their beauty routine is definitely one of the fact that I'll be filling there today.
